They all struggle with vocabulary and use words no one ever use in other walks of life. He was scrabbling for an adjective and doesn't have the brainjuice to pluck one from somewhere so he said that. FFs criticise him for the other stuff he does not for being a retard. Moose is a cunt anyway

There's a great play called 'Bent', about the Nazi persecution of gay men and their subsequent detention in concentration camps. Jews had a yellow star on their shirts, the gays, a pink triangle. The main character, played by Ian McKellen in the production I saw, was arrested for being gay. He explains to another character (played by the late, brilliant Tom Bell) that he sucked off a guard so he could get a yellow star, instead of the pink triangle as the Jews were fed and treated better.

The only mark Barton overstepped was in his estimation of his own intelligence. He is as thick as a castle wall but he thinks he is a philosopher of note because he watched a few Ted talks, listened to a couple of podcasts and started impersonating a French intellectual when he speaks.
He is just guilty of trying to use a word in a novel way.
Also, he should be punched in the head repeatedly whenever he speaks because he is Joey Barton.

Got to love the BBC
"Someone gets in for a game, does well but then has a Holocaust, a nightmare, an absolute disaster." - quoting Barton, notice how they capitalise the H (which makes it a specific reference to The Holocaust). When he clearly said 'a holocaust', thus referring to the proper noun.

FC, Jews were The major group involved by a long way in terms of numbers and motive.

Yes the Jews were a major group associated with the Holocaust but they weren't the only group, hardly anyone mentions the Gypsies, Romani, Slavs, gays lesbians etc and the mentally disabled

Before I comment, what did he actually say?
The Holocaust in capitals does specifically mean the Jewish one, holocaust doesn't but most only relate it to WW2.
